They were born, raised, and married in a suburb of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They have four children: Boone, Maisy, Ellie, and Lincoln. Although they were able to spend some years in other states, they have stayed true to their cajun roots with their love of tasty food, LSU football, and referring to friends as “Y’all!”
Casey works as a graphic designer and serves as a pastor at The Oaks Church. Melissa teaches 7th grade at a local middle school and women’s bible study in their living room. Together, they strive to provide a gospel-centered home offering rhythms of grace to their family, friends, and neighbors.
On March 27, 2014, Casey and Melissa found out that their daughter, Maisy, was in a fatal accident on family property. With each life event and experience layered with grief, they have learned much about putting one foot in front of the other.
Their lives have been impacted greatly by the death of their daughter, and they long to share help and hope with others who are walking a path of loss and suffering.
